sometimes things are a bit hectic.

This month has been quite an artistic ride for me. I have sold several artworks… to complete strangers!
I participated in the 24 show at Pip Gallery in Portland on April 30th. 24 artists came together for 24 hours of drawing in the gallery, making one piece an hour, to sell for $24 each! I had a lot of fun, and met a great group of artists from really diverse backgrounds. I ended up completing 24 small drawings, some ink and watercolor on paper, and the rest were white conte on black paper. All in all I came up with interesting results. I usually draw pretty large, 22 inches by 30 inches up to 36 inches by 15 feet, so drawing on 4 inch sheets of paper seemed really small and daunting to me. Its funny that 15 feet is almost no problem to me but a card size piece of paper gives me the blank page freeze.
Other than that. I have a small show at a coffee shop in my neighborhood coming up in September. That seems like its a long way away, but it sneaks up on me pretty fast, once I factor in framing time and costs. I will update more on that in the future.

Hello,
Welcome to the Blog of Divine Inner Ear. In starting this website, I am hoping to allow more people to see my artwork, and also to allow more dialog between myself and other artists, or art enthusiasts.
Please feel free to look at my artwork, and writing and let me know what you think, as well as tell me if there are any glitches in the website that need to be fixed!
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy what you see.
